Ever heard of Bastille? I’m fully aware that I’m quite late to the Bastille Party here and that it’s not just the name of a bank holiday in France. They’ve been around since 2010, but I’ve only just cottoned onto their excellence. I mean they mix TLC and The XX into the same track – this is what I’d sound like if I was a DJ.
#2 The stand out festival
Next up in the new #TuesdayTrio is the Bestival Line Up. Just. Look. At. It. Bastille, The Knife, Hot Natured, ahhhh. And a Fleetwood Mac tribute band! My mum is going to go crazy when she finds out I’m going to see Elton John at a festival without her, but all the hotels are booked up. I looked, I promise. As soon as the next pay day rolls along I’ll be splashing the cash on a ticket to this Bestival festival of joy.
#3 Staying loyal to TeamGB
It’s easy to forget how magical and peaceful a simple trip to the English coast can be when your head is filled with the exotics of Fiji, Australia and South East Asia as mine is day to day at work. On Sunday I went down to Dorset for an ice cream and not only was I treated to a delicious creamy menagerie of white chocolate, honeycomb and English fudge, I also saw this at the Jurassic Coast near Lulworth…
We all need to visit our British coast lines more often … Love a good ice cream and dip in the cold sea every once in a while.
Definitely couldn’t have gone in the sea! It was freezing! In a few months time I’ll give it another go
