I genuinely think these El Camino bracelets are among the coolest I’ve ever seen. The folks at El Camino wanted to send me one to get my opinion, and I loved it so much I’ve managed to blag another one to give away to one lucky person. No need to thank me.
Said ‘lucky person’ will win an El Camino starter pack, worth up to £34.99, made up of 1 El Camino bracelet, 2 country steps, 2 oak spacers and 2 mahogany spacers, a bit like this…
I’ve been to quite a few countries and would bankrupt myself if I tried to get the country steps for all, so seeing as it’s January I’m going to fill my bracelet with my 2014 travels. As you can see, I already have Thailand and New Zealand on there and am really looking forward to both, but from now on when I get back from a country I’m going to buy a charm, or a step as they’re known in the El Camino world, to commemorate it.
You could collect them for your favourite countries, or most meaningful countries, or first ones, or last ones, it’s up to you.

As well as coloured beads for continents, they also have 240 different 316L stainless steel silver steps for countries and are slowly introducing ‘small steps’ to help you show off about those trips to the likes of Bali and Paris.
You can choose from six different coloured bands, and I have a feeling they’re only going to look cooler with age. Since I got mine I’ve grown quite attached, and worn it every day, looking at it approximately every two hours.
But for now, enter by Monday 27th January to be in with a chance of winning a brilliant El Camino bracelet like mine for yourself…
