February 2019 (in Short)

Busy month, I’ll keep it brief. Noticed I tent to bang on in these monthly review things but I like to keep them for my future reference.

My February 2019

This month I have:

Been to the biggest festival in the world: the Kumbh Mela in India. Crazy trip, full of mishaps, although I look back and I’m so glad I got to experience it, it might not’ve felt that great at the time. Definitely an impressive once on a lifetime adventure.

Went to Nepal and had an amazing time just relaxing and exploring by myself. Loved the country and loved the experience. So much to tell you about when I have time to go through my photos and write it all up. Very exciting that it was a new country for me too (number 72!).

Got really sick. Was a bit ill for most of the trip, and then on the flight home basically spontaneously combusted and could barely muster the energy to get home. So sick. And then, gave it to my boyfriend and he was sick for three days. Violently sick. Reading up on the symptoms I’m thinking norovirus. I think I need to stay in Europe for a bit and rebuild my digestive strength. I get ill all the time now, it’s not fun.

Solent Forts

Went to No Man’s Fort, one of the Solent Forts between Portsmouth and the Isle of Wight. I’ve been intrigued by them since I moved to Portsmouth – so happy I actually got to go on one. Blog post coming because it was a really cool day out.

Guest line up So She Travels

Launched my Podcast! Woohoo! Two months in the making I’ve finally started So She Travels up. Every week I’ll be chatting with some amazing women in travel and finding out how they get to travel so much, and their other tips for women wanting to do the same. I released Jayne Gorman’s (GirlTweetsWorld), Helen Davies’ (HeleninWonderlust) and Ellie Quinn’s (WanderingQuinn), all on the same day.

You can check them out on Spotify or iTunes here.

Desenio Kitchen revamp

Updated my kitchen, finally! Thanks to Desenio offering to sponsor a few prints I decided it was the perfect time to give it a lick of paint. I’m so happy with the results and would genuinely just stand in there staring at it for a few days after.

Had my 8-year blogging anniversary. Eight years hey?! Longest I’ve ever stuck at anything, apart from living.

Went on a weekend in London. Me and my friends went to the Ultimate Power night in Camden and sang our little socks off. Also, met up with friends I hadn’t seen for three years. And, sat on Hampstead Heath enjoying the sun on a Saturday afternoon IN FEBRUARY!

Next month: March?

So I’m currently in Hamburg, at a video creation conference. I’ll be here till Monday and then… no abroad plans!

March in England

I’m staying in England for the rest of March, and probably April too.

I’ve got a fun overnighter in Bath planned with some blogger friends, I’m doing an activity day in the New Forest with Ben, and I’ve got friends and family coming to stay with me in Southsea. I just need some time to chill, catch up with work, and enjoy the south coast in this weird early summer we’re having. The weather is lush right now in England.

I also need to organise the rest of my podcast series, write up all my Nepal adventures, and sift through all the videos I’ve made from trips to get my love for video editing back again.

So that’s me.

Portsmouth in England

Hope February was good for you.

Looking back it was definitely a busy one for me, no wonder I need a break!

Right, need some currywurst and a beer…!
