Booking a Last Minute Sunshine Holiday? Don’t Forget These Essential Items

So you’ve decided to book a last minute holiday out of the blue? Well, good for you! If you’ve not got much time left until you jet off, then you better get a move on gathering all you need and packing. We have put together a list of items that you want to make sure you don’t forget when you get going to your sunshine destination. Let’s get to it!

Sun Protection

Number one on the list is sun protection. This is important top to toe, and doesn’t just mean sun tan lotion on your exposed skin. You also need to consider your eyes. A good pair of sunglasses that has certified UV protection is what you need. If you have prescription glasses day to day, you may even want to consider stylish Ray Ban prescription sunglasses online instead of feeling the need to wear contact lenses.

The Right Footwear

Footwear is one of the most important items of clothing you’re going to take with you, and you’re probably going to want to take a few pairs, depending on the itinerary. If you’re going hiking, you may need walking boots. If you’re off to the beach or pool, sandals or flip flops are ideal. How about a fancy dinner out? Consider some smart shoes to match your outfit. With the right shoes, you can feel content and comfortable throughout your trip, whilst also looking great.

Entertainment

At some point in your trip, you’re going to have periods of downtime where you don’t have loads to do. Whether you’re sunbathing, on the plane, or waiting for another member of your group to get ready, it’s always a good idea to have a portable form of entertainment on hand to pass the time. This could be anything that interests you – a handheld video game, a book, puzzles, and so on. Rummage around your home to see what you can bring with you.

Layers

Luskentyre Beach

Although you’re going somewhere hot, the temperature will change throughout the day. Check the forecast to find out what you’re going to be dealing with. Having layers that you can put on during colder periods, or if you’re doing certain activities, can be a good way to keep you warm. If it’s a very hot climate you’re headed to, even light layers like a pashmina, shawl or sarong could work well to cover you up from the direct sun and to make you feel more comfortable walking around. These can also look very chic!

Insurance

When you book at the last minute it can be so easy for you to forget certain things when you’re rushing to get everything sorted. Insurance is something you don’t want to let slip your mind though, wherever it is you’re travelling to. Always make sure you are covered so that you don’t run into any sticky situations should something bad happen!

Grab your passport along with all your other bits and bobs, then fly off to paradise. Enjoy your getaway!
