The great thing about glamping in the New Forest, rather than camping, is that you’ll have access to a decent bathroom and kitchen facilities, to yourself.

Amazingly there aren’t that many New Forest glamping spots to enjoy, which is why I’ve decided to include some New Forest huts too. If you’re looking for somewhere unique to stay in the New Forest, then these glamping spots are well worth a stay.

I’ve written a whole post on the unique things to do in the New Forest, so if you want to make a weekend or week of it, then take a look at all the New Forest attractions too.

Take a look at my top picks for glamping in the New Forest

1. Cosy Cabin, Alderhot, New Forest

How about a cosy cabin on the edge of the New Forest this autumn?

This handcrafted log cabin is rustic and authentic, with an amazing veranda for relaxing. You’ll have a living room, kitchen area, bathroom and a garden too. The perfect size for the two of you to go glamping in the New Forest.

Nestled in the charming village of Alderholt, near Fordingbridge, the cabin offers a picturesque view of the lush local woods.

Stay here and Mudeford Beach and Bournemouth Beach are both less than a 20-minute drive away, and you’re right by all the joys of the New Forest too. The cabin’s prime location makes it an ideal base for exploring the New Forest, the vibrant city of Bournemouth, the historic city of Salisbury, and the coastal allure of Poole.

2. Yurt camping, Sopley Lake, New Forest

This ‘peaceful, tranquil and comfortable camping’ looks absolute dreams.

Great fun for friends or couples to enjoy a few nights in the heart of the New Forest. Stay here and you’ll enjoy a comfortable double bed with a real mattress, and a picnic & barbecue area too.

This is rustic camping with comfort.

4. Rustic & cosy retreat 5 mins from the sea

Ok, this rustic and cosy retreat would be my number one choice from this list for glamping in the New Forest. It’s sooooo nice inside. And so cosy for autumn.

Have you ever been to Milford on Sea? It’s a stunning spot on the coast of the New Forest, and I LOVE it there. This rustic and cost retreat, The Little Gatehouse, is just five minutes from the sea and you’ll love it.

It’s an absolutely stunning getaway for two people to enjoy the south coast of England, and the New Forest all in one.

This quirky home is secluded and private and down a quiet country lane. You can make the most of the outdoors area, with a BBQ and fire pit too. Just a ten-minute walk away you’ll find the delights of Milford village, and all around you’ll find great walks to enjoy this stunning part of England.

Other accommodation options in the New Forest

If you’re not quite ready for glamping in the New Forest, then there are other options. Or you could check out the Sandy Balls Holiday Resort, reviewed by twinstantrumsandcoldcoffee.com.

6. Shepherd’s Hut New Forest-Pet Friendly

This shepherds hut is a GREAT choice for social distancing and general seclusion. You’ll be surrounded by the grounds of a thatched cottage in the New Forest, complete with roaming ponies and deers. You’re 5 miles from Lymington – one of the top New Forest villages.

Book this shepherd’s hut at Stud Farm Glamping and you’ll have an ensuite shower, toilet, basin and a kitchenette too. You’ll also get a great breakfast, all from the local shop, with local produce.
