My destination travel guides are thoroughly researched and tried and tested. I want to show you exactly what I did in a place, so you can either do the same, or sometimes… the opposite after learning from my mistakes.
I cover where to stay, what to do, how to do it and why, on all kinds of holidays around the world. I hope the destination you want to visit is here, and if not, let me know!

This tropical paradise is filled with natural wonders, from the pristine white-sand beaches of Boracay, to the chocolate hills of Bohol and surf spots in Siargao. Here you can dive into crystal-clear waters to discover vibrant coral reefs and swim with majestic whale sharks.
Nepal’s dramatic landscapes feature soaring peaks, including the iconic Mount Everest, serene lakes, and lush valleys to entice us adventurers. You don’t have to join an epic trek to enjoy the best of the country though.
Papua New Guinea
What is Papua New Guinea like? Two ways to find out. You can either read everything I’ve written about visiting the country, or, you can go! Even better, you can do both. This remote Pacific nation offers a unique blend of lush rainforests, towering mountains, and pristine beaches.
The vibrant cultures of the indigenous tribes, with their colourful traditions and rituals, are fascinating to see. Papua New Guinea is an incredible country for the intrepid traveler seeking unparalleled natural wonders and cultural encounters, and I feel lucky to say I’ve been!

Destinations travel tips
On my blog you’ll find budget tips, money-saving advice, recommendations on places to stay, things to see and do, and where to eat. Over the last 11 years of travel blogging (!) I’ve covered many different types of travel, from cruises, to backpacking trips, two-week holidays, couples trips and ladies getaways with friends.
As well as packing, solo travel and camping, I also like to write about road trips, about female travel, and wellness too. You’ll see I’ve done all of these things all over the world. There’s still so much more to see but as I’ve got older I’ve definitely realised the importance of taking it easy, and slow, to travel deeper and to see more in a destination, rather than travelling through as quickly as I can.
The world is not a tick list!
Although, I do really want to reach 100 countries before the end of my life journey.
I’ve been to over 78 countries around the world, and I want to show you the best of them all. But that would take a lifetime and so, here’s the crème de la crème of my travels.
These destination guides will help you plan your trips, and hopefully inspire you to see even more of the world!
