There are loads of romantic places to stay in England, but I’ve carefully chosen the most intimate Airbnbs and VRBOs with hot tubs.

1. The Nut House, Lancashire

• Location: In the countryside 50 minutes from Manchester and the Lake District, and 25 minutes to Blackpool.
• Price: £155 per night

This romantic airbnb is known for its extremely quiet location surrounded by beautiful countryside. The Nut House is situated on a decked area at the bottom of a beautiful garden where you’ll find wood sculptures, many flowers, plants and wildlife.

You’ll get a lovely double bed, in the privacy of the round house in the garden. The best thing is though, the access to the hot tub AND POOL. On booking you can book this in to make sure you have both to yourself, with no limits.

Other things to know about the Nut House is that there’s plenty of parking, a pub nearby, some good cheap restaurants in close driving distance and it’s in an excellent spot for walking and cycling.

“Very clean, private and cosy get away. The hot tub and pool were amazing and heated all the time and free to use whenever. Michael and Barbara are lovely hosts, very helpful and keen to help wherever they can without imposing on your stay. Lovely cooked breakfast. We arrived by train, Michael stayed in touch on our way there to make sure we weren’t lost, very easy to find even though it is out of Preston itself. When we arrived and Michael heard we were there for our honeymoon he brought us a bottle of wine to have with our takeaway dinner!”

2. Shepherd’s Hut with hot tub, in an idyllic location

• Location: Vale of White Horse, near Swindon
• Price: £110

The Shepherd’s Hut offers a quiet and secluded luxury experience nestled against a wooded backdrop within 3/4 acre of open landscaped space with breathtaking views of The Ridgeway. The Shepherd’s Hut is a must-see for anyone who enjoys a bit of luxury and romance.

It’ll just be the two of you in the grounds of this luxury hut – perfect for a romantic place to stay in England. There’s a hot tub for two, with mood-enhancing lighting that’s all been thoughtfully considered for maximum romance. A candlelit dinner in the restaurant is a must.

There is no car access to the glamping area to preserve the calm, natural environment. Upon arrival, you will be greeted by the owners and assisted down to the hut by an off-road vehicle while your car remains secure at the farm.

“We stayed for two nights recently and cannot fault our stay. Our host was incredibly thoughtful and had arranged for goodies to be ready for my partner on arrival for his birthday surprise.

The facilities were great and we really enjoyed the fire pit and hot tub.

We had expected to go places during our stay but the area was so peaceful we stayed at the hut the whole time.”

3. Cabins on fishing lake, Lincolnshire

• Location: North Lincolnshire, close to the River Humber with views of the Humber Bridge
• Price: £120+ per night (absolute bargain if you get the four of you!)

If your idea of romance includes lakes, nature walks, a cosy cabin and of course A HOT TUB, then these fishing lodges in Lincolnshire ticks all the boxes. Stay here and you’ll have a cabin with a lake view and veranda. If you do so happen to want to bring friends on your romantic venture, then these cabins do actually sleep 4.

These lake cabins have a cafe on site with a range of food, and you’ll also only be 15 minutes from the centre of Barton Upon Humber with all the shops, pubs and restaurants there to enjoy. There are three cabins on site.

You’ll be right by the water, making for the perfect spot for a bit of winter paddleboarding.

What a little gem this place is. Catered perfectly for our little group. Very private, hottub was amazing. So quiet and peaceful. Can’t recommend this place enough.

4. Gaia’s Hideaway Yurt, Buxton

• Location: In Buxton, with uninterrupted views of the Derbyshire hills
• Price: £281+ per night

Ok, this romantic yurt is my favourite on the list. This amazing handmade Mongolian yurt is still available for New Year’s Eve, and it could all be yours, complete with a lush private hot tub and BBQ too.

Your romantic NYE will be perfect with the log burner, the superking round bed with Egyptian cotton linen and towels and the amazing selection of locally sourced goods the owners give you on arrival.

The whole thing will be yours, complete with a compost toilet and access to the site’s shared toilets too.

Gaia’s Hideaway is a truly magical place for a getaway. The yurt was very warm and cozy despite the weather being cold and rainy and the hot tub was a real luxury! The location is beautiful and perfect for long walks in the stunning countryside. Sue and her family were really helpful and always available if we had a query. I hope we will return one day!

This exceptional one-bed detached barn conversion is located in a spectacular rural and coastal area. 

“Lantern Cottage is excellent for getting away from it all or for a romantic break. The views are stunning from the private garden and the hot tub adds that extra special something. The cottage is beautifully presented and well equipped but food shopping is essential as there are no nearby shops a fact that is mentioned in your email before arriving. There are some lovely walks, beaches and pubs to visit plus lots of wildlife. Stayed for a week and didn’t want to leave. Highly recommend.”

6. Hindwell Farm Lakeside Apartment with Hot Tub

• Location: A close knit farming community on the Welsh/English Border, in Walton.
• Price: £250+ per night

This romantic place to stay is SO nice. If you want a great sized bed, with plenty of room, then this Lakeside Apartment is the one for you. And just LOOK at the location of that hot tub!

You can enjoy a glass of Champers and watch the swans swim on by before wrapping yourself up in some radiator warmed blankets and a dressing gown to sit round the table. This has to be one of the most romantic Airbnbs in England, right?

This lakeside apartment is situated on the second floor of a Georgian Farmhouse, once the private retreat of William Wordsworth himself!

The apartment is full of character and there are stunning lake views from every window – but it’s that hot tub and dining area that I’d be booking this apartment for!

7. Wild Dairy – Tiny house in Milton Keynes

• Location: In Milton Keynes, but on a beautiful farm in a rural setting in a tiny hamlet
• Price: £250+ per night

The only souls you’ll have to share this romantic tiny home with are the farm’s horses, rabbits and an old barn owl. This is a wonderful place to stay, located close enough to the draws of civilisation but far enough to have your own special private home.

It’s just a short walk to the tiny Hamlet of North Crawley for the small village shop and two great local public houses.

Stay here and you’ll get a stylish and modern ‘tiny house’ with everything you could need for a special New Year’s Eve, and exclusive access to the hot tub – your OWN PRIVATE HOT TUB!

A fabulous get away for relaxation. We wanted privacy and this spot was ideal! It’s in the middle of a field, a short walk from your car and you’re in the middle of nowhere. It’s fabulous. The fire pit, hot tub and hamper of little extras such as prosecco and marshmallows were lovely. Thank you!

• Price: £170 per night

If you’re looking for a place to celebrate a special event or simply spend a weekend enjoying each other’s company, Otter 4 in Warminster is the place to go.

This cute romantic airbnb is in an ideal location for exploring the city’s delights, including three acres of land and two lakes that offer coarse and fly fishing, making it a perfect spot for pleasure anglers, nature lovers, walkers, and cyclists and the fascinating environment all around. 

The Otter 4, a luxury hotel decorated in a refined style, has a variety of rooms, including a ‘Luxury’ category, all of which have a private inflatable hot tubs, so you can order a bottle of champagne and relax in the bubbles.

9. Bloomsburys Glamping Yurt

• Location: Ashford, in the Weald of Kent
• Price: £170+ per night

Another yurt on our list of romantic stays in England – gotta love somewhere a bit different, haven’t you?

The yurts here include comfy beds, rugs, and superior lighting and heating. You’ll also have access to a shared wood-fired hot tub, which you’ll need to book your private time in. There are also therapists on hand, if you want a little extra treat to make your New Year’s Eve special.

There’s a restaurant and cafe on site, and plenty of natural ponds and woodland nearby. They’re also only 20 minutes from Rye Bay and Camber Sands for the seaside.

We spent a wonderful New Year here: the yurt was beautiful, the facilities were fab (especially the shower room with lovely classical music),and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Easily the most luxurious camping experience I’ve ever had! Thanks Claudia and Russ, we look forward to visiting Bloomsburys again!

10. The Retreat at Broad House Farm

• Location: Droitwich
• Price: £75 per night

Broad House Farm is a Grade 2 recorded Georgian Farmhouse set in 1.5 acres of lush landscaping. 

This private studio apartment in Droitwich offers a family-friendly stay. West Midland Safari Park is 14.5 kilometers (9 miles) away. The Retreat provides Private Studio accommodations with access to a snug/lounge, conservatory, and extensive gardens for relaxation. 

A kitchen and a patio are two of the property’s highlights. There is a sofa bed and a television in the apartment. With a kitchen that includes a refrigerator and a microwave, in-room dining is easy. 

Droitwich Spa Lido and Whitlenge Garden Centre and Tea Rooms are all within a 10-minute drive of this Droitwich house.

“A wonderful break away. Paul and Elaine are the most amazing hosts, and their granddaughter welcomed us on arrival. Nothing is too much trouble and they have thought of everything to make your stay perfect,including a lift to and from our evening out. Homemade cake and jam were delicious, the gardens beautiful and the hot tub was the icing on the cake.”

11. Roundway Hill, with it’s own secluded garden

• Location: Bromham, Chippenham
• Price: £165 per night

Hawthorn Lodge brings to you a beautiful experience in Wiltshire. Located near the market town of Chippenham (which enjoys a reputation as a flourishing and lively market town), is the perfect getaway for anyone with a taste for the finer and romantic things in life.

Hawthorn Lodge has one double bedroom, a sofa bed in the living room, a completely equipped kitchen with table and chairs, and a bathroom with toilet, basin, and hot bathtub.

The Lodge is tucked away at the end of a no-through lane used by the local riding stables to reach Roundway Hill, which has some of Wiltshire’s most spectacular walks. Hawthorn Lodge has its private garden with a six-seater hot tub, perfect for unwinding after a long day. Time to snuggle up with the Champers!
