Outdoor Master Shark 3 Electric Pump Review (for Paddleboards, Kites, Tents & Beds)
Outdoor Master have ensured the fastest inflation on the market with their Shark 3 Electric Pump. I took it on a day out to West Wittering Beach to try it out on the paddleboard, and the paddling pool!

Pumping up the paddleboard never really used to bother me – I just saw it as part of the adventure. Since having my son though, I need that part to be over as soon as possible.
If I’m out by myself I want to maximise the time on the water, and if I’m with him then it’s useful to be able to connect it and let it do its thing while I focus on whatever mischief he’s getting up to.

As a short review, the Shark 3 Electric Pump charges fast, with its in-built 2H Fast Charging from 45W. It comes with 8 nozzle options so anything you want to pump up, you can. Including SUPs, kites, air mattresses, inflatable tents, and as I found out, paddling pools too.

The Shark 3 Electric Pump in action
Straight out the box, the Shark 3 looks sleek. It has a digital screen that shows the PSI in real-time and chunky buttons you can press even with sandy fingers. I kept the protective film on to keep that digital screen sand scratch-free as long as possible.
All the different valve adaptors come tucked away neatly in a mesh bag, and it plugs into your car’s 12V socket.

I easily managed to inflate my 10’6 all-rounder SUP while keeping the excitement of a three-year old manageable (and my mum – she wanted to have a go on the board). It definitely made the whole pumping up experience easier than if I’d had to do it by hand.
The Shark 3 pump inflated the board to 15 PSI in less than two minutes – which meant no early arm fatigue and more energy for actually paddling. It felt noisy while I sat next to it watching it pump up, but my dad, sat a metre away assured me it wasn’t. No one was looking as I nervously glanced around either.

One of my favourite features? The automatic shut-off. You set the desired PSI, hit go, and it stops when it gets there. No guessing or over-inflating.
You can also check the battery power on screen.

It’s compact enough to chuck in the boot, and the carry handle makes it easy to carry across sand or grass.
Main benefits of the Shark 3 Electric Pump
– You can reach 15PSI (my paddleboard) in just under 4 minutes, compared to 8-15 for most pumps on the market. If you need, you can inflate up to 6 SUPS in a row, depending on the PSI.
– It works as a power bank too. The Dual power supply means you can even charge your phone of it. Could be important as emergency back up one day!

– Shark promises unmatched battery durability. The battery comes with a two-year warranty and 500 charge cycles (which is twice as much as competitors).
– Relatively light and easy to carry. It’s easy to have in the car for road trips, camping and beach days, and lightweight to carry down to the beach if you’d rather pump up there.
Shark 3 Electric Pump Review: do you need it?

If you regularly paddleboard, especially with a family or multiple boards, the Shark 3 is a definite time-saver. It’s not the cheapest electric pump out there, but the quality, reliability, and performance totally justify the investment. It’s also just nice not to start your adventure completely knackered.
I’m looking forward to trying it on a camping trip in a few weeks, to see what quick work it makes of pumping up those camp beds!
