How I’ve Made My Home Smell Like a Luxe Spa with Aery Living (Review)
Scent is such an underrated pleasure. Now that I’m more grounded with my part-time job and my son Reggie, I’ve made my home and work space as calming and inspiring as possible.

I live in a Victorian terraced house. Damp is the enemy and I want my home to smell nice when you walk in, not any kind of musty.
I’ve dabbled with a few diffusers, but after having enjoyed the two I selected from Aery for the last few weeks I now see that there are diffusers, and then there are diffusers.
I was gifted a few items from Aery Living, in return for my honest reviews.
Himalayan Cedarleaf Amber Diffuser

I use this Himalayan Cedarleaf Amber Diffuser by the front door. This way, when I come home I’m welcomed in by the mix of cedarleaf and amber – woody, calming, and fresh like a forest.
It’s been a few weeks now and it’s still going strong. I’d definitely recommend for the fragrance, and the longevity.

Moroccan Rose Amber Diffuser
This Moroccan Rose Amber Diffuser was a bit of a wildcard. It smells expensive, like something you’d find in a boutique hotel lobby in Marrakesh. Think roses, black pepper, and a smoky amber base. It’s sweet and sultry without being cloying.
It’s also powerful – don’t underestimate those little reeds. I’ve got this one in my office as it really does smell like an expensive spa holiday.
Fig Leaf Mini Candle

The Fig Leaf Mini Candle from Aery Living is the size of a clementine, but somehow makes a room feel like a spa. It smells fresh and leafy with a creamy coconut twist – not too sweet, just… chill. Perfect for an evening bath or in the bedroom as you’re settling down for sleep.
It’s a good one if you’re looking for a candle that’s good for travelling. It’s made with plant-based wax and essential oils, and thanks to it’s size means it can travel easily if you want to bring a fragrance to your hotel. Just wrap the box in a sock and it’ll be safe in carry on. It’s definitely a more subtle fragrance than the diffusers, a slow burner…
Indian Sandalwood Room Mist

The Indian Sandalwood room mist is smoky, warm and a little spicy – like walking into a really classy whisky bar in Montreal. I did that once, and that’s what it reminds me of.
It’s the perfect size for travel and gives any space a little ‘oomph’. If you’re a budget traveller, like I most definitely have been in the past, then you could buy it to make your room seem just that little bit more inviting, or your hostel bed. The scent has depth: raspberry, tobacco, eucalyptus… it’s like layering cashmere on your senses.
I save this one for my lounge spray it on the blinds, the carpet and even the chair. Just trying to reclaim a little space that feels like my own among the plastic cars, kiddie keyboards and Lego, y’know?
